What during high school best helped you achieve success?:
“During high school I tried to get involved as much as I could without overwhelming myself. ?Participating in a lot of different activities not only added to my resume but also helped me discover my passion for film and photography. ?I knew that being well-rounded was key to keeping my college applications colorful.”

What advice do you have for incoming/current high school students to succeed?
“Being a well-rounded student is important. ?Get involved in what interest you and stick to it. ?Make good use of your time and your summers to not only hang out with friends, but also fit in things like college visits. ?Get a jumpstart on your personal statement and the rest of your application. ?There is a lot of writing that one has to get done and the sooner you start, the better your essays will be! ?The same concept applies for standardized tests: start practicing as soon as you can. ?It is important to maintain a balanced life. ?Keep your grades up, stay involved, and don’t forget to enjoy yourself and your time in high school!”
